This license enables the ISM DI diagnostic software included with the EST disc. The Installation ID is required (see below). An Activation ID will be emailed to you to unlock the software, usually within one week.
The software is only used on the following skid steer models:
- L218 Skid Steer
- L220 Skid Steer
- SR175 Skid Steer
- SV185 Skid Steer
Use of this product requires a current EST Diagnostics Software License, available for purchase online:
- Electronic Service Tool (EST) Diagnostic Software License - Per Product Series - 12 months access
- Electronic Service Tool (EST) Diagnostic Software License - All Products - 12 months access
To locate the ISM DI Installation ID number, you need to download the software via the EST Update Tool.
- Launch the EST Update Tool
- Click on the Other Updates tab
- Expand the EST Additional tools folder
- Locate and expand the ISM Service Tool D folder
- Check the box to select the file for download
- Click the download folder
- Once downloaded, navigate to the folder location again. Click on the installation gear
- Once installed, open Windows Explorer and navigate to C:\Diagnostic Software\IHIShibauraServiceToolD\bin
- Locate the IHIUserRegTool.exe file. Double click to run this file
- Copy/Paste the Installation ID number into the ordering form
Note: The installation file is directly linked to the laptop it is created from and cannot be used on any other laptop.

- AMD Ryzen 7 4th generation processor or higher
- RAM: 8GB or more
- Operating System:
- Windows 10 or 11 64-bit
- Note: A 64-bit operating system is mandatory
- Note: A 32-bit Microsoft Office compatible, not compatible with Microsoft Office 365 or 64-bit version.
- Storage:
- 500GB or more
- Solid State Drive (SSD) is recommended for improved performance
- Display:
- SXGA (1280x1024) or higher resolution
- 65535 color or better (Active or Dual Scan)
- Please verify that the display quality is acceptable in direct sunlight
- Pointing Device: Windows compatible mouse, touchpad or touch screen
- Ports:
- One 9-pin Serial Port (preferred) or USB to RS-232 Converter - FTDI Chipset 380003514 -USB to RS-232 Adapter
- Two USB-A ports or USB-C port with converter
