Feeder Silencer Kit #73342646 provides quieter feeder operation and reduced wear of the feeder chain, lower drum, bottom plate and chain guides. Kits include throat liner, drum guards, rails and top sprocket stripper plates.
Throat Liner:
Grain feeds into the combine over the slippery poly, which helps prevent bunching in the throat, absorbs sound and doesn't corrode like metal.
Drum Guards:
Soft plastic, rubber-like material covers the metal drum where the chain hits, saving the chain from excessive wear and decreasing noise.
Rail Guides:
Poly rails help prevent clattering of metal on metal when the bars on the feeder house chain hit the rails. The result is less noise and less wear on rails and bars.
Top Sprocket Stripper Plates:
As chain goes around metal stripper plates, it wears grooves into the metal and flattens the bottom of the chain. With poly plates, chain glides across the plate without losing its shape or clanging against the poly.
